GOLF TOURNAMENT |
The first thing we saw as we got the golf course was Les Ingram’s 1949 Chevrolet. The sign says “Welcome BLHS Class of 1967—You may have been conceived this car, or one like it”. Their were 22 two of us who played as foursomes in a game of scramble (we hit the best shot made by our team). |
Roger Crompton had some towels made at the last minute for our tournament. They say “BLHS Class of 1967”. I don’t think anyone wanted to use them to wipe their clubs because they were nice. |
Merrell & Marilyn Turley and Linda Nielsen & Ron Hogge were our dynamite foursome winning the tournament. Mary won the longest drive and closest to the hole. |
Gerri Goddard, Sheryl Tams Grand and her husband, and Roger Crompton were another foursome who had way too much fun. Gerri was a good sport as Sheryl signed her up for 18 holes. The only problem, Gerri had never golfed before. We heard them laughing all over the course. |
Carla Manning Nixon, Diane Morris Plant, John Brennan, and Paul Sabin. Several of this group hadn’t golfed in a long time, except for Diane who loves golf and her friends at the course in Laguna Hills California (notice the lace golf gloves, very nice). |
Gary Squires and Alvin Aoki had to golf as a two-some as two players didn’t make it. They didn’t win, even though they had the best opportunity to fudge their score. We didn’t hear any cussing from them. |
Gary, Larry Dalton, Les Ingram and his wife Lue. Les couldn’t his drive to save his life when the four some behind him came up to watch him hit his drive. So the back foursome hurried off each green to get the tee so that could see muff his drive. |
This foursome has decided to go on the tour. Debi & Johnny Willis, Scott Stanger and Kim Bunderson. Scott could hit the straightest ball when we really need it. Kim Bunderson was blasting them way down the course, and Debi and I just had fun. |
We all laughed so much and had too much fun because nobody really cared how well we each did. |
